Dns is not updating records
As of Jan 9, 2007 - "Unfortunately, our name servers do not support the use of SPF records as yet. Allow a single record suitable for SPF, but not generic TXT records that would be suitable for DK/DKIM (as of April 4, 2008).
However, this is a feature that has been requested previously and we are looking at implementing this in the future." Apparently publishing SPF records for their customers, but not all customers were aware of this.
If you don't know what any of those are, don't worry.
Also if there are any special limitations worth noting, please include that.
All servers connected to the Internet are assigned a unique IP address.
An A record associates a name to the server IP address, allowing people to use easy-to-remember domain names (rather than hard-to-remember IP addresses) to connect to a website.
You might have the same problem as me, where testing a non-existent domain will search for a subdomain relative to the domain you are executing from, for example:// Test with working domainvar_dump( dns_get_record('google.com', DNS_A) );/* works, returns Array( [host] = xxx.xxx)*/If anyone has that problem, add a "dot" at the end of the domain name, for example, instead ofdns_get_record('invalidtestingname.com', DNS_A); Do this:dns_get_record('', DNS_A); There's a comment below from 7 years ago regarding BSD and Mac OSX, I'd just like to follow up incase some people see that and don't think it'll work on Mac OSX.
The goal of this web page is have a list of Domain Registrars and DNS providers that support TXT Records in DNS. TXT DNS records are used by multiple e-mail technologies used to assist in identifying the actual sender of e-mail to publish information needed from senders by receivers to make the technology work.
I advise to use a more explicit name-request instead of using DNS_ANY.Cloudflare offers public APIs with three audiences in mind.: Individuals and organizations all over the world choose Cloudflare to protect and accelerate their web applications. Most customers manage their settings in the web dashboard, built using these APIs.I noticed the function getting stuck on the DNS_PTR record, which caused it to return FALSE with this error: PHP Warning: dns_get_record(): res_nsend() failed in ....This gets all records except DNS_PTR: When I use DNS_ALL as the second parameter to invoke dns_get_record() on the OS of Windows, PHP emits a warning with the message "Warning: dns_get_record(): Type '251721779' not supported in on line blah", and DNS_ANY is always OKAY.
